Staff Bio - patty

    Patty grew up in San Francisco and has lived in Concord since 1968 when her husband became a police officer.  Patty met her husband, Jim, at City College in San Francisco.  In 2006, they will be married 40 years. Her first job was raising 3 kids for 12 years before she entered the work force with a part-time job during Christmas at JC Penney’s.  She worked at Penney’s in the lamp department, stationary department and sporting goods department.

    Patty got involved in the credit union industry when her kids turned into the “terrible teens” and she needed to be home weekends and nights.  Carol Spicer, who at that time worked for Concord Civil Service Federal Credit Union, told Patty that Fran McArthur at Diablo School Employees Credit Union was looking for help.  Patty started working at CDFCU in June of 1985 and has now been with CD Federal Credit Union for 20 years and says she loves it!

    Patty’s favorite thing about CDFCU is the staff and members.  She enjoys inter-acting with them and if they come in with a problem, she hopes to, “try to make them go out with a smile.”

Fun Facts About Patty:

· Patty likes to collect Hallmark Ornaments and has some dating back to 1970.

· She has 2 “fat” cats that she loves dearly.

· She enjoys a good book and good wine.

· Something you may not know about Patty is that she has a tattoo (a Paul Frank monkey on her left leg.)
