Staff Bio - Jenn i.

Jenn I. is our New Accounts and IRA Representative. She is also our Home Branch Specialist. She has lived in Antioch for a little over two years. She grew up living mostly in Concord and Pittsburg, she and her sister and moved from house to house in the area.

When she was 18, she moved to Martinez into an apartment where she lived for a year; and then moved to her current home in Antioch to live with her boyfriend.

Jennifer’s first job was teaching swimming lessons for Sulenburger Swim Center (Buchanan pool) when she was 16 years old. Jennifer was introduced to CD Federal Credit Union by her grandmother, who has been a member as long as she can remember. Her grandmother worked for the post office; she was a member before the post office and the school district merged.

Jennifer opened an account at CD Federal when she was 13 years old. One day, she came in to do her banking and Brandon (one of our former Tellers) suggested that she apply for the Teller position and she’s been here ever since.

Jennifer comments that her favorite thing about working for the credit union is, “I love the people I work with and the members. Here at CD Federal Credit Union, it’s like a second family. Unlike a larger institution, you get to know your members and enjoy the time you spend with them.”

She has quite a few hobbies and is very outgoing. She likes snowboarding, surfing, jogging, wakeboarding, exercising, camping, hiking, jet skiing, going “muddin’,” …basically anything outdoors.

One thing you may not know about Jennifer is, “I am a busy-body; I love, love to stay busy. When I started here, I had three jobs at one time. Right now, I am working full-time and am taking 11.50 units at LMC. Life is what you make it, make it wonderful.”

Some of Jennifer’s favorite quotes for you to ponder:

“Today is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday” –Unknown

“There are no failures, just experiences and your reactions to them” -Tom Krause

And last but not least:

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’”
