Savings/Share Accounts

Basic Savings

Your basic savings account is also called a "Share Account."  To preserve membership in the credit union, you must maintain a minimum balance of $25.00.*  Your share account may be held in single or joint ownership.

Your account shares are insured for $350,000 through the National Credit Union Administration and American Share Insurance.

*Each member must hold a minimum of five shares in the credit union.

Each share equals $5.00.

 

55 PLUS Program
This FREE program is designed to reward our members of age 55 PLUS for their support of the credit union.

Features of the 55 PLUS program include:

• Bonus on CD rates
• Discount on loan rates, excluding real estate (for members ages 62 and above)
• Referral bonuses for referring new family members to join CDFCU ($25 will be deposited to your account after the referral has been a member for 90 days)
• Special designation of savings and checking accounts

Free services with 2 or more savings or loans products:

• Money Orders (maximum 2 per month)
• Cashier's Checks (maximum 1 per month)
• Wire Transfers (maximum 4 per year)
• Stop Payments (maximum 4 per year)
• 2 Books of Checks per year
• American Express Travelers Cheques
• Notary Service
• Signature Guarantee

To join our 55 PLUS program, please stop by the credit union or call us at 925-825-0900. You may also join by visiting "How Can I Join?" on our website, printing off a membership application, writing "55 PLUS" at the top, and mailing, faxing, or bringing in the application.
